Phyllis Narus

Phyllis Narus first sat down at a loom in 1995, not knowing at the time that weaving would become her new passion! She enjoys weaving all types of projects using a variety of fibers but especially utilitarian pieces such as towels, table adornments, shawls, scarves, rugs, and more.
Another passion of Phyllis’ is teaching beginning weaving to eager students. She teaches in small group settings, insuring that each student receives the necessary attention during each step of the weaving process.
Phyllis is the owner of R&M Yarns located in Georgetown, Tennessee, where she also resides on a 160-acre farm with her husband, JJ. She is a member of the Hand-weavers Guild of America as well as the Scenic Valley Hand-weavers Guild of South East Tennessee. She is also a charter board member of the Birchwood Fiber Festival held annually in May in Birchwood, Tennessee.
