CHRISTINE KOSIBA SCULPTING WORKSHOP
Asheville sculptor Christine Kosiba hosts an incredible sculpting workshop. Spread your sculpting wings in this 2 day hands on intensive workshop focused on birds and basic bird anatomy with specific interest in the aerodynamics of flight. We will be striving to incorporate a sense of movement and lightness in the work produced during the workshop. Demonstrations will include a wall mounted flying bird, a seated bird and bird relief tiles. There will be discussion about surface treatment and mounting ceramic sculptures onto found objects.
$800 per person.

What to Bring:
Basic hand building clay tools
Apron
Plastic throwing bat
Work will need to be transported home for firing so you will need soft packing materials and box or tote to pack them.
Location:
The workshop will be held in the upstairs room at the Copper Fox Gallery. The Copper Fox is located in the heart of Leiper’s Fork, 10 miles away from downtown franklin, and 5 minutes from Natchez Trace Parkway.
Participants are responsible for their own lodging. There are a myriad of hotels within in Franklin, as well as several local air bnbs in and around Leiper’s Fork.
