Kaitlin Savage

functional pottery

Kaitlin Savage earned her BFA in ceramics at MTSU in 2016. Since then, she has been growing her business as an artist and embracing the roller coaster of sole proprietorship. Kaitlin has participated in various group exhibitions between Murfreesboro, Nashville, and Charlotte, NC and sells her work at local festivals and craft shows. She also shares her love of ceramics with others through teaching classes and workshops.

“My work is inspired by my love of nature and simple patterns and the strive to bring more joy into my life through making.”

Kaitlin hand-builds each piece, more recently using the slab method, which gives her a neutral canvas to use her hand-carved stamps, paint illustrations with underglaze, or create simple patterns with glaze. Her goal is to make quality and long-lasting work that is comfortable and joyful to use.
