John Mauro is a glass artist born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While living in Oakland,California in 2013, John stumbled upon Revere Glass Studio, where he studied the craft of lampworking. Immediately hooked, a new path created itself. John then attended Tennessee Tech Appalachian Center of Craft in 2018. This experience shifted the focus from lampworking, to primarily soft glass, hot shop work. As a glass artist, John creates elegant vases and contemporary sculptures that blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. Johns work focuses on creating functional, yet beautiful objects that elevate the space in which they live.

With the opening of John Mauro Glass in Sevierville, Tennessee, he is excited to have a studio to share his creations with the community and offer a space where art, craftsmanship and education intersect.
